Fancy putting your hands up to do a review of a Singstar title the same week that GTA IV is released. What a doughnut! Anyway that is why my review is slightly late, and slightly shorter than usual.

For hardened Singstarrers the most important part of the review is about to follow, the tracklisting:-

Adele - Chasing Pavements
Amy Winehouse - Tears Dry On Their Own
Blondie - The Tide is High
Blur - Girls & Boys
Booty - Luv Shine
Chesney Hawkes - The One & Only
David Bowie - Let's Dance
Diana Ross - I'm Coming Out
Dirty Pretty Things - Bang Bang You're Dead
Dodgy - Good Enough
Elton John - I'm Still Standing
Five Star - System Addict
Girls Aloud - Call The Shots
Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict A Riot
Klaxons - It's Not Over Yet
KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See
Lou Bega - Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit Of...)
Madness - House of Fun
Mel & Kim - Respectable
Mika - Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)
Peter Andre - Mysterious Girl
Plain White Ts - Hey There Delilah
Pulp - Disco 2000
Razorlight - In The Morning
Rihanna - Umbrella
Sugababes - Red Dress
Texas - Summer Son
Toto - Hold The Line
Wham! - Club Tropicana
Yazz - The Only Way Is Up

Now I could rate the game purely on the tracks included but that would be very subjective, even more so than taste in games is a taste in music. However it is a plethora of cheese fest tracks on there. Peter Andre will go down a storm with some members of the Gamecell staff, that’s for certain.

This game is essentially the same as every other singstar title. However 30 tracks at £20 is a lot cheaper than 30 tracks from the Singstore for the PS3 version.

One new feature is the ability to turn off the marking of the rap sections in some of the songs. I feel this is a bit of a shame though because it may stop the laughable bumbling of trying to keep up with speedy rap lyrics that normally ensues in our household. Pass the Dutchie by two aging grandparents is always worth a “biddle-e-bong”.

So to sum it up, if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it. More of the same, just more tunes to add to your collection.

Best Bits

- Value for money
- Good tracks (not saying which ones…)
- More of the same excellent party game
Worst Bits

- My inability to sing in tune
- My wife’s inability to sing in tune
- Lack of new features
